Yes, most policies have a time limit (usually 30–90 days from the incident). Health insurance claims should be filed within 30 days of discharge. Motor claims within 7 days of accident. Always check your specific policy document.
Can I get a cashless claim settlement?
Cashless settlement is available for health insurance at network hospitals. For motor insurance, some insurers have direct garage settlement. For other types, reimbursement is paid to your bank account digitally as per NIA mandate.
What is subrogation in insurance claims?
Subrogation allows your insurer to recover the claim amount from the at-fault third party after paying you. For example, if someone caused your accident, your insurer pays you first and then recovers from the third party's insurer.
